FORMER Attorney General Edward Taylor Buckingham III, 64, was cooperative when taken into custody by an officer of the Lakewood Police Department who had been conducting surveillance on the former CNMI official according to Lakewood Police Department public information officer Steve Davis.
He said there were two warrants for the arrest of Buckingham.
“I don’t see any explanations of what the warrants are for, other than they are just from another jurisdiction,” Davis told Variety.
When asked how the Lakewood Police Department obtained Buckingham’s case folder, Davis said the arresting officer “must have known that [Buckingham] is wanted and he was watching for him at that home. How he got that information about Mr. Buckingham is not indicated [in the report]. I’m not sure how [the officer] was made aware of that but obviously he was because he had been watching for [Buckingham].”

I DO not envy those who are searching for a reasonable and fair solution to the plight of retirees who may soon lose their pensions considering the dire financial condition of the NMI government’s projected internally generated income over the next several years and perhaps longer.
