Celebrating 10 years with Brabu

BRABU Pharmacy and Wellness Center celebrates their 10th year anniversary of excellence in providing health and wellness services for the CNMI. Established in 2009, the company has been striving to provide affordable and environmentally conscious health and cleaning products for healthy lifestyles.

“Our basic philosophy is to make our patients our top priority, they come before anything else, and we make sure that they are taken care of with the right medications,” Theodore Parker, owner of Brabu, shares.

The company also has outstanding and dedicated staff that the owners, Parker and Kathy Yuknavage, are very proud to consider, “our family,” Kathy said.

“Ted has been really good about encouraging further education. So far, we have ten employees that have completed their US certified exam as Pharmacy Technicians,” she added.

According to Ted, a successful business means having successful staff, that’s why “Kathy and I do our best to make sure that our team is being taken care of like family”.

And with Kathy’s love for the environment, she fervently promotes adopting a green lifestyle here in the CNMI. “With the ‘kids’, I like to encourage selling organic products. We have new organics brands that just arrived such as the Goddess Garden™ sunscreen, Moon Valley™, Full Circle, and Eco Tools, which are environmentally friendly items that are made of renewable materials,” Kathy said.

Brabu also offers $0.10 discount to customers who make use of reusable shopping bags.

Gregoria Trina Ito, supervisor of Brabu and a US certified pharmacy technician, is recognized for her hard work and dedication for working over ten years for Brabu. She explains how her life changed because of Kathy and Ted’s generosity and kindness. “You can never find a boss that’s like them who would really go out of their way and help us,” she said.

As part of the Brabu family, the team also shares their thoughtful experiences.

“Sometimes it doesn’t feel like a job, it feels like I’m just hanging out with cool people. Everyone wants to see each other succeed,” Robby Taman, the company’s book keeper, said.

“I am very grateful for this job, and it’s the best thing that has happened to me besides my kids,” said U.S. certified pharmacy technician Kina Sablan.

While Ann Margret who has been working for more than seven years at Brabu, she extends her gratitude to the couple’s good deeds as she was able to work and go to school at the same time without having any conflicts. Now, she is a pharmacy technician intern who is also a reservist for the US.Army.

The company is highlighting the milestone of their success by thinking and living eco-friendly and hoping for a better and cleaner future.
