“We worked with a number of international brands to create this experience for customers,” said Billy Cheung, DFS general manager.

The highlight of the event was the Giorgio Armani Cinema which offers free make-overs and beauty consultations, Cheung added.

“Our customers can have their makeup here with the help of professional makeup artists,” said Svetlana Hunter, DFS Group Ltd. assistant general manager. Four makeup artists for Giorgio Armani flew from South Korea to Saipan for the event, she added.

“After their makeover, our customers can make their own movie poster through the Giorgio Armani Cinema photo booth that is built in here,” Hunter said.

The Armani Cinema will be available at DFS T Galleria all throughout August and September.

At the “Lip Bar,” the Meitu app is available for customers who want to virtually try different shades of lipstick, blush and eye shadow without actually putting them on.

The Meitu app is especially made for DFS and features different international makeup lines.

“Our customers are getting more tech savvy,” Cheung said. “So this year, we have advanced functionalities. We have what we call a ‘magic mirror’ which automatically screens the customer’s face and put the makeup on.”

“It just makes it easier for the customers to try on different colors or shades or brands of makeup and then they can decide which ones they want to purchase,” Hunter said, adding that the Meitu app will be available at DFS T Galleria for the entire month of August.

DFS T Galleria has introduced 14 international brands which were specifically asked by customers, Cheung said. “But we have more than 50 brands here in terms of beauty international products,” he added.
