Thrive Saipan Medi-Spa now open

THRIVE Saipan Medi-Spa offers, among other things, “CoolSculpting,” a non-surgical fat reduction procedure that may reduce fat by freezing fat cells.

Thrive Saipan owner Donna Krum, who was one the Saipan Rotary Club’s guest speakers on Tuesday, said CoolSculpting is quick and safe and will effectively “kill” 25 percent of the fat cells in the area being treated.

She said Thrive Saipan serves tourists as well as local residents and is located on the second floor of the the Paradise Dental Clinic in Gualo Rai, Middle Road.

Thrive Saipan also offers “I.V. Chelation Therapy,” which is the intravenous administration of a synthetic amino acid.

“It’s one way of maintaining a healthy body,” Krum said, adding that it is also great treatment for jet lag and hangovers. It can likewise improve memory function and helps clear “brain fog,” she added.

I.V. Chelation Therapy, moreover, can increase blood circulation, dissolve plaque in arteries and help reduce the development of arteriosclerosis, she said.

In addition, the therapy is an alternative treatment for hypertension and diabetes as well as high cholesterol, she added.

Thrive Saipan also provides a service called body sculpting with ultrasonic cavitation, Krum said.

The 20-minute procedure of cavitation does not involve surgery or the risk of anesthesia, she added.

“We have had great results with our clients after just one treatment, with some of them seeing a 2-cm difference in one treatment; however, best results are achieved with a series of visits to the clinic.”

Thrive Saipan Medi-Spa is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 234-4043 or check out Thrive Saipan Medi-Spa’s Facebook page.
