THE islands will
continue to have wet weather today, according to the Emergency Management
Office as part of the usual pattern in the rainy season that started intensifying
last month.
Acting EMO director Ted Untalan said that yesterdays heavy rain
was part of the regular monsoon rains that usually come this month.
The heavy rain that started early yesterday morning left many streets,
particularly in low lying areas, flooded.
EMO, based on information from the National Weather Service, said that
converging winds over the area will generate scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms.
The forecast said an east swell will predominate as seas remain between
three and four feet.
The NWS said today will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms in the morning, then isolated showers and a slight chance
of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
The isolated showers tonight will continue tomorrow with a slight chance
of thunderstorms.
Marianas coastal waters will see three-foot wind waves and three- foot
swells from the east with scattered showers in the morning and a slight
chance of thunderstorms.
