Mori vetoed one bill — Congressional Act 15-22, to appropriate the sum of $2,100,000 from the FSM General Fund to fund public projects and social programs in each of the states.
But Congress voted to override the veto on Congressional Act 15-13 which has become Public Law 15-14.
This law amends title 4, section 108, to increase the salaries of the chief justice and the associate justices of the FSM
Mori submitted two bills for Congress to act upon.
The first bill provides for the appointment of the FSM representatives to the Joint Economic Management Committee and the Joint Trust Fund Committee in accordance with the Compact of Free Association, as amended, between the Federated States of Micronesia and the United States.
The second bill seeks congressional approval of the designated use of the China financial assistance of $4 million to the Federated States of Micronesia for the expressed purpose of “assisting emergency government financial reforms” relating to the Chuuk State Reform MOU of July 2007.
