Court finds probable cause in 2 stabbing cases

THE court says there is probable cause to believe that two men arrested for stabbing two other men in two separate incidents committed the offense.
You Cai Ding and Mingnan Jin were charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, attempted second degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault and battery.
The two appeared in separate preliminary hearings before Associate Judge David A. Wiseman.
The defendants were ordered to return to court today for arraignment and were remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearings.
You Cai Ding was arrested on March 18 for punching and attacking Hao Jie Zhuang with a knife. He was charged with assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The police affidavit stated that You Cai Ding and the victim were housemates who were arguing on March 17.
According to the affidavit, You Cai Ding punched the victim, picked up a knife and attacked him. The victim managed to block the knife, but injured his left hand in doing so.
The victim also sustained injuries to the upper arm and back of his head.
Mingnan Jin was arrested on March 20 for stabbing Eun Soo Han, the employer of his girlfriend on Feb. 12.
Mingnan Jin was charged with attempted 2nd degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault and battery.
The affidavit stated that Mingnan Jin came to the victim’s apartment in Garapan and engaged in an argument with the victim.
The defendant later pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach and arm.
