A JUDGE and an employee of the judiciary were recognized for their hard work and dedication by Supreme Court Chief Justice Miguel S. Demapan in his State of the Judicairy Address on Friday.
Demapan said Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manlona and Superior Court Deputy Clerk George Lisua represent the best of the judiciary and stand out as examples for others.
Depaman said Manglona has taken it upon herself to help modernize the courts by leading the committee implementing a new digital case management system.
Lisua, who has been working for the judiciary for 16 years now, serves as an inspiration to others, Demapan said.
Lisua started working at the age of 22 as a maintenance worker and was later promoted to maintenance dispatcher, to records assistant and then to deputy clerk.
Lisua was chosen as employee of the year in 1994, 1995, 2003 and 2004.
Lisua thanked his co-workers as well as the judges and the justices for their support and for recognizing his hard work.
