Spirit scored its biggest victory over the ATT-Jaguars, 98-79, in last
Sundays games of the Filipino Basketball Association at the Palau
National Gymnasium.
Arnold Undecimo finished with 32 points while Juvic San Juan added 30,
including six from three-point range as Surangel tied the defending champion
Rangers for similar 5-4 win-loss records.
The loss put the Jaguars into a similar 7-2 marking with Palaus
Wass-up team, which defeated Santa Fe, 67-56.
Ziske Asanuma, Benny Feliciano and Lyndon Ngiramolau scored 15, 14 and
13 for Wassup while Mike Olarte had 23 for Santa Fe, which slipped
to a 1-8 card.
In the other game, Palau Royal Resort rolled to its second straight wins
against Basty Ngchesar via a 71-70 decision.
Dennis Belza led PRR with 25 points, including two free throws that sealed
the victory, their third in nine starts.
Basty remained winless in nine matches.
The current team standings, which were almost untouched are Patriots (9-0),
ATT-Jaguars (7-2), Wass-up (7-2), Rangers (5-4), Surangel (5-4), Rams
(4-5), Samurai (4-5), PRR (3-6), Santa Fe (1-8) and Basty Ngchesar (0-9).
