THE Office of the Governor has been named the Transportation Advocate of the Year of the CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities, according to a media release from the administration.
The Office of the Governor was selected because of its support, initiative and efforts in negotiating and securing up to $70,000 in grants per year to fund the CNMI Call a Ride Transportation Services for people with disabilities and the elderly.
Without this effort and funding, the program and services would have been discontinued.
