(MTEC) — The Marianas Tourism Education Council in conjunction with Marianas Youth Welcome All Visitors Enthusiastically Club, is holding a poster contest with the theme of “Tourism is Everybody’s Business.”
MTEC is encouraging all public and private schools — elementary from 4th to 6th grade and secondary from 7th to 12th grade students to participate in the poster contest.
The criteria and requirements are as follows:
· Poster size must be at least 8.5" x 11" but not to exceed 18" x 24" in dimension.
· Posters should depict the theme “Tourism is Everybody’s Business.”
· The words “MY WAVE Club” and “Marianas Tourism Education Council” must appear on the poster.
· Poster may be made using crayons, markers, paints, or colored pencils.
· The participant’s name, grade, school and teacher must be clearly written at the back of the poster.
The following prizes will be awarded for elementary and secondary school categories:
• Computer — includes printer and battery back-up unit
• Cash prize of $150
• Cash prize of $100
• Cash prize of $ 50
All posters should be submitted to the Marianas Visitors Authority or the Public School System’s human resources office at the Retirement Bldg., 3rd floor. Deadline for submission of entries will be on Friday, April 20. Judging will be held on Friday, April 27.
