Vice President and Minister of Justice Elias Camsek Chin has promoted Lt. Richard Ngiratrang to detective Lieutenant during the quarterly police inspection on Wednesday March 28 at the Palau Track and Field.
Chin has moved the effective date of Ngiratrang’s promotion from April 4 to April 1.
Immediately after the inspection, Chin spent over an hour talking to the police force as he commended several officers for their exemplary performance in the past three months.
Chin particularly mentioned their careful handling of the safety of the participants in the recent Education Week and the State Funeral for the late Senate President Johnny Reklai.
"I want you to continue being honest and upfront in your job. You were good the last time, now you are better and I expect even better from you. You make me proud of your accomplishments," Chin said.
Several police officers were given commendation that deserved one day-off.
