Rivals score sixth win over Islanders, 63-59

The Ngermid Rivals streaked to their sixth straight victories in the second round of Division I in the NBL on Monday March 26 by beating the Peleliu Islanders, 63-59.
Jake and Scout Matsutaro scored 20 point each s the Rivals rallied from 26-32 deficit with a gallant effort in the third quarter.
It was the Rivals’ 14th victory of the season against only one defeat.
The loss, on the other hand, was the Islanders’ third in six games of the second round and are now 7-8 over-all.
The Ididers won over defending champion Peched Raw, 81-75, in the other game on Monday.
Ongor Derbai finished with 23 points and led three others in double figures. Gino Smau had 15, John Stills 12, and Gary Okeriil 11.
Sunshine Soalbalai and Sky Koshiba had 32 and 16, respectively, for the defending champions.
On Wednesday March 28, the Meda Boys won over the Ranchers with Batut coming home with 29 while Vance and Clint had 13 apiece.
The Surangel Suns defeated the Breakers, 74-69 with Andy Johnson leading the way for the Suns with 23 and Ryu Richards had 22 for the Breakers.
The current team standings after the first two rounds are Rivals (14-1), Breakers (10-5), Peched (9-6), Meda (8-7), Ididers (8-8), Islanders (7-8), Ikelauans (6-8), Styxers (6-8), Suns (6-9) and Ranchers (1-15).
In Division II, the Jaguars remained undefeated after six games of the second round by defeating Klebokel, 68-62, last Tuesday night.
Results of the other two games showed the Blue Sharks winning over On Fire, 94-76, and Mesang over Kabong, 65-62
