Watanabe, Morei top individual 2007 ISL table tennis

Dembei Watanabe and Eve Morei topped the boys and girls’ divisions, respectively, in the just-concluded 2007 Interscholastic Sports League table tennis tournament at the Mindszenty Gym.
Watanabe compiled a total of 132 wins and 64 losses for an average of .67 built around 12 games won and no losses and six matches won and no losses.
C. Masubed finished second with 142 points on wins and 89 points on losses for an average of .61; while A. Rudimch was third with 132-89 (.60); U.Athanacio fourth with 117-100 (.54); and EM-R fifth with 110-99 (.53).
Completing the Boys division roster are Kirby Sikya (.47); Bydee Sikyang (.464); Harkins Miner (.461); Dougwin Franz (.459); Rodman Chin (.45); S. Itelmong (.41) and Chaz Sugiyama (.33).
In the team standings, MHS Red compiled a total of 52 won games and six lost games that were built around 26 won matches and two lost matches. MHS Blue finished second with 21-42 and 18-10 while PHS Boys settled for third place with 18-43 and 8-20.
In the girls division, Eve Morei came on top with 143 won and 102 losses on points for an average of .58 after winning 10 games and losing four on four matches won and two losses.
Kedei Gathan came in second with .55 (128-106 while S. Maech was third with .50 (156-158).
The others are D. Rechirei (.52); L. Remeliik (.50); O. Termeteet (.53); J. Basnett (.511); MC Athanacio (.510); Jade Cruz (.47); S. Ingereklii (.49); Secheyangel (.48); Elilai (.42); and Gail Williams (.35).
MHS Cardinals topped the team competition with 41 games won and 30 games lost after winning 16 maches and losing 12. MHS Lady Cardinals were second with 38-29 and 16-12 and PHS Girls third with 25-45 and 10-18.
