Police seeking man missing for 2 years

THE Guam Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating a man missing for almost two years.
GPD Criminal Investigation Division agents said 27-year-old Yiding Wang a.k.a. “Austin” was reported missing by family members on March 14, 2007.
He was last seen on Guam in August 2005.
Wang, according to GPD, was a frequenter of night clubs in the Tumon area and is believed to still be on Guam.
Wang is of Chinese descent and is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also drives a five-door, dark gray 2005 Toyota Matrix, with Guam license plate number “MTE 5189.”
Police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of Wang to call GPD’s Criminal Investigation Division special agent Jasen M. Dodd at 475-8557/8551 or call GPD at 472-8911.
Man, woman arrested for abusing 2 minors
In other news, police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman for allegedly abusing two children ages 2 and 4.
A concerned family member told police that Joel Duke Pangelinan of Mangilao and Nicole Lynn Castro of Yigo were beating the children.
Pangelinan was arrested on Tuesday, while Castro was arrested yesterday afternoon.
The children, when examined, were found to have bruises and marks on their bodies, according to GPD public information officer Allan Guzman.
The two were booked and confined on two counts each of family violence, child abuse, and aggravated assault. They remain behind bars.
Copper wire theft
Officers of the Criminal Investigation Section arrested Eddie Otokichy, 22, of Toto, for allegedly stealing copper wire for resale in 2006.
Otokichy was charged with theft of property.
Details of this case were not available as of press time.
