A farewell to Akash Shringi

IT is with great sadness that I write this farewell letter.  Akash Shringi was more than just a writer. He was more than a web designer. He was more than a hard working and earnest employee in our legislative office.
Akash was a wonderful human being.  He was a man of unique talent and extraordinary energy.  Always filled with a positive spirit and an effervescent charm that seemed to bring cheer into the lives of all those he worked with, Akash was an important part of our family.
During the all too brief time he spent with us, he earned our trust and deepest respect.  His loss has left a palpable void, a void made all the greater by the tragically young age at which he was called away from us.
Walking by Akash’s now empty desk, we are all troubled by both feelings of anguish and of terrible frustration.  How could someone at the age of only 32, with a beautiful and loving wife, and a life of such great promise and excitement ahead all of sudden be taken from us?
He had so much more to give, so many more great things to do and goals to achieve, so many more lives to change.  But after a moment’s quiet thought, the answers come in soothing tones.
Akash’s life was a gift, a gift he shared with all of us, and even with his untimely passing it is a gift that he will continue to share with us by enlarging our hearts and spirits with his joy.
He is still with us in so many ways, and we are all better people for having known him.  Akash, you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.
