President Remengesau
will be joining the Hokulea voyage from Yap to Palau.
Remengesau is already in Yap to be a part of the voyage which is expected
to dock in Palau Sunday morning.
The president said this is the first time that he will be part of the
voyage which he said is a very laudable effort.
On January 19, 2007, Hokule'a left Hawaii with the voyaging canoe Alingano
Maisu on a voyage to Micronesia and Japan. The voyage is expected to take

THE voyaging canoe Hokule'a will travel 7,000 miles.
The Micronesian leg of the voyage include a stop at Satawal in the Caroline
Islands of the Federated States of Micronesia.
It will then continue to from Palau to Okinawa, Japan.
During the Micronesian part of the voyage, doctors and nurses will stop
at Majuro, Ponape, Chuuk, Satawal, Yap and Palau.
The Micronesia stops will involve health mission spearheaded by the Aloha
Medical Mission, Oceania Community Health, Papa Ola Lokahi, University
of Hawaii Medical School and Pacific Basin Medical Association.
A ceremony will be conducted on Sunday to welcome the voyage.
