Chinese officials to visit Samoa

APIA (Pacnews) — A 53-member delegation of top Chinese government officials headed by a senior Communist Party official will arrive in Samoa for a two-day visit.
The delegation is headed by Chang Chun Lee, one of the members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
The Chinese Embassy office in Apia said as part of the visit, Lee will hand over $1 million for the renovation of the Apia park stadium for the upcoming Pacific Games in August. The project is fully funded by the Chinese government.
The delegation will also hold bilateral talks with the Samoan government over a number of issues to further strengthen the relationships between the two countries.
