CPA reminded of restrictive federal policy

THE Commonwealth Ports Authority was once again reminded by the U.S. government about restrictive federal policies during an aviation conference in Palau last week.
CPA sent four representatives to the conference which focused on safety measures and federal laws governing the use of U.S. funds.
The CPA officials who attended the event were board chairman Rex I. Palacios, vice chairman Serafin Dela Cruz, board member Connie Igisomar and executive director Clyde K. Norita.
Dela Cruz said the Federal Aviation Administration will reimburse CPA for the cost of their travel.
“Issues affecting our current economic condition and giving local companies priority on projects funded by the FAA were among those discussed, and CPA was reminded about the very restrictive policies of the federal government regarding the use of federal grants,” Dela Cruz said on Wednesday.
He said details of the presentations were stored on DVD disks and documents that will be used as reference materials by CPA.
