A 31-YEAR-old man and two
minors were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly burglarizing a ranch home
in Harmon.
Guam Police Department public information officer Allan Guzman said the
property owner reported the incident and detained the man until police
arrived.
Police arrested Vicente Blanco Quitano, of Chalan Pago, and charged him
with burglary, theft of property, criminal facilitation, guilt established
by complicity, conspiracy, jurisdiction over an adult, and child abuse.
The two minors, aged 15 and 17, were also charged with burglary and were
remanded to the custody of the Department of Youth Affairs.
Guzman said the stolen items which included a fire arm, a gas tank, and
other miscellaneous items were recovered by police and returned to the
owner.
In other news, a detainee was booked and re-confined after police charged
him with six counts each of theft of property, crime against the community,
guilt established by complicity, conspiracy, and criminal facilitation.
Police believe that Jay Jain, 35, is responsible for six copper wire thefts
last year.
Guzman said Jain took copper wire from the MongMong Mart, the Smile Market
in Maite, the International Building in Maite, the Maite Laundromat, a
military warehouse, and the old flea market in Harmon.
Before the theft charges were filed against Jain, he was being held at
the Department of Corrections in Mangilao on numerous assault charges.
A man remains behind bars after he walked into a womans home in
Mangilao at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and asked the female occupant for drug
paraphernalia. The woman told him that there were no drugs in the
home.
Borja then allegedly threatened her before leaving the house.
John Lee Borja, 31, of Dededo, was arrested and charged with terrorizing
and public drunkenness.
