THE Les Hustlers won the battle of the top two teams in the 2007 Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League last Tuesday slipping past Bud’s All In Boys, 4-3, on the former’s hometurf, the Les Sports Bar
Entering Week 10 of the Saipan Billiards Association-organized tournament, Bud’s All In Boys were in second place with a 46-17 record, six wins behind the league-leading Les Hustlers, who hold a 52-11 slate.
Bud’s All In Boys’ bid to grab the lead from the Les Hustlers faltered when the former lost in the close game.
The Les Hustlers and Bud’All In Boys split the two doubles matches, but the former secured the win after ruling three of the five singles games.
The win improved the Les Hustlers’ record to 56-14 putting them ahead of Bud’s All In Boys by seven wins. Bud’s All In Boys dropped to a 49-21 slate.
The Les Hustlers are in the lead for the 10th straight week.
In other results, USSP “Wat-ever” beat USSP Fotten Palau, 5-2, The Godfather’s prevailed over the VFW Warriors II, 4-3, Krystal Perfect Spotters topped Vince Bwibwiis, 4-3, VFW Warriors I downed Bud’s Predators, 6-1 and Wild Wild West defeated Porky’s Toka Hao, 4-3.
USSP “Wat-ever” is in third place with a 45-25 record, followed by The Godfather’s (37-33) Krystal Perfect Spotters (37-33), VFW Warriors I (35-35), Wild Wild West (35-35), Bud’s Predators (34-36), Vince Bwibwiis (32-38), Porky’s Toka Hao (30-40), VFW Warriors II (26-44), Vince Amigos (23-40), USSP Fotten Palau (25-45) and Ysabel’s Leche Tent (20-43).
