Stingers still undefeated in second round of NBL

The Stingers defeated the Bullets, 100-92, on Friday night March 29 to keep a clean record after five games in the second round of Division II in the 2007 Shell NBL at the Palau National Gymnasium.
Charlie scored 19 points to lead four others in double figures with Burton Wong, Kazuki Sungino, June Bautista and Peter chipping-in 17, 16, 15 and 10 as the Stingers stayed on top of Pool One with a 5-0 card .
The loss was the Bullets’ third in six games.
Also on the same night, Mesekiu imrpoved its record to 3-3 with a 90-86 win against Ngial Central (0-6).
In Pool Two, the 79ers also remained undefeated after six games after posting a 76-72 win over Palau Pacific Resort (4-3).
On Friday night March 30, Airai (3-3) defeated the Kinsmen (0-7) with a 97-66 decision.
In the lone Division I game also on March 30, the Styxers (7-8) escaped with a 74-73 triumph over the Ikelauans (6-9).
Wallace Rikrik led the Styxers with 16 points, including seven in the fourth quarter and the two free throws that sealed the win.
