Trial set against two with US Navy theft cases

THE US District Court of Guam yesterday ordered a trial dates for a female and male individuals who were both charged with criminal cases for entering a military base and stealing a government property.
Teresita M. Leon Guerrero and Jason Michael Salas are both set for June 6, 2007 trial.
Leon Guerrero, 52 of Yigo was charged with theft of government property, aggravated identity theft and entering military, naval or coast guard property.
Salas was indicted with criminal mischief, within special maritime and territorial jurisdiction and entering military, naval or coast guard property.
The grand jury charges filed against Leon Guerrero stated that on or about June 2006 to December 6, 2006, she took some merchandize from the Navy Exchange with approximate value of $5,500.
During the same dates, Leon Guerrero allegedly entered the US Navy base without lawful authority using identification of another person.
Salas for his part entered a not guilty plea to a grand jury indictment that stated that he stole personal property of United States on October 29, 2006.
He was also indicted for stealing a wallet of one Hollie Schaub that contained three dollars, several credit cards from Chase, Navy Federal Credit Union and Arvest , one Guam drivers license and one California drivers license.
Salas also damaged the 2003 Chevy Cavalier of Robert Simmering while in the US Naval Base Guam on October 29, 2006.
He was released on conditions that he be placed on electronic monitoring.
