Twin’s Camacho leads Majors in batting; McDonald’s Tenorio dominates pitching

THE Wells Fargo/As Matuis Twins’ claimed the top two places among batting leaders in the Majors division of the 2007 Saipan Little League Baseball tournament.
As of April 1, the Twins’ Ton Camacho had posted a .750 batting average on a 12-for-16 performance at the plate.
Camacho’s teammate, Robert Tudela is in second spot with a .722 average. He went 13-for-18 in the Twins’ seven games.
The Hustlers’ Albebert Lizama and Raymond Saraly are tied for third place with identical batting averages of .706. Both went 12-for-17 in the Hustlers’ first five matches.
The Mobil Kagman/Aztecs’ Leroy Regis and Brian Camacho of the defending champion SAIPANCELL Patriots are in fourth and fifth places, respectively. Regis went 14-for-20 for a .700 average, while Brian Camacho was 18-for-26 at the plate for a .692 average.
Completing the top 10 are the Patriots Lamarc Iguel (17-for-25), the Aztecs’ Ricardo Dela Cruz (12-for-18), the Hustlers’ Austin Lizama (10-for15), the Patriots’ Jeremy Rabauliman (14-for-22) and Tyler Kaipat (9-for-15), McDonald’s Patrick Tenorio (11-for-19) and the Twins’ Zachary Aldan and Chalan Kanoa Bears’ Roy Tudela (8-for-8).
The batting leaders were determined based on 14 or more times at bat.
Tenorio of McDonald’s is the most effective on the mound so far in the Majors division with his .38 ERA. In four games, he pitched 16 innings and allowed only six hits leading his team to a 3-2 record.
Placing second was Virolpuson Secharmida of the Ol’Aces I with a .82 ERA, followed by the Ol’Aces II’s Lancaster Secharmidal (1.09 ERA), the Patriots’ Chris Mizer (1.85), the Hustlers’ Aldebert Lizama (3.10), the Braves’ Peter Lieto (3.23), the Red Sox’s Clayton Aguon (4.85), the Pirates’ LJ Norita (5.00), the Ol’Aces I’s Jeremy Lizama (5.11), the Braves’ Rikcy Renguil (5.24) and the Little Legals’ Kody Kaipat (9.22).
The pitching leaders were determined based on 11 or more innings.
McDonald’s Tenorio and LJ Norita had the most strikeouts with 30 apiece. Jeremy Lizama and Mizer had 23 each, while Lieto and Renguil posted 22 apiece.
The Patriots’ Rabauliman had the most runs with 19, followed by Aldan and Ton Camacho with 17.
Patriots’ sluggers are also leading in the doubles category with Brian Camacho and Iguel having five doubles each. Regis also had five, while Jared Sablan too made five.
Brian Camacho had seven triples, Iguel had four and YJ Nakamura and Robert Tudela made three apiece.
The Patriots’ Rabauliman is topping the homerun category with his seven and Dela Cruz had five.
Robert Tudela had the most RBIs with 19, followed by Rabauliman (16) and Brian Camacho and Ian Lizama (12).
The Patriots are leading the 16-team field with a 7-1 record, followed by the Hustlers, Twins, Ol’Aces II, Aztecs, Braves, McDonald’s, Pirates, Red Sox, Bears, Little Legals, Dragons, A’s, Matriz, Ol’Aces I and Jets.
