(DEQ) — The unexploded ordnance, or UXO, pre-application meeting will be held on Thursday, May 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in conference room of he Division of Environmental Quality at the Gualo Rai Center. 
The CNMI government is seeking federal approval for hazardous waste management units used for the purpose of storing and disposing through detonation various hazardous waste that meet the characteristic of reactive because they are explosive. 
The purpose of this meeting is to solicit questions from the community and inform the community of proposed hazardous waste management activities.
Anyone wanting to attend the meeting requiring any special access to participate is encouraged to contact the DEQ at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.
