Progress of school construction can be monitored via Internet

RESIDENTS can now track the progress of the multi-million construction of four northern schools by logging on to www.fgtoolbox.com/guam/asp/Home.asp.
According to the Office of the Governor, the Web site will be updated on a monthly basis. The Web site is maintained by the project manager for the construction of the schools, the Facility Group.
“We want the parents and school children to see the progress of the schools we are building,” said Gov. Felix P. Camacho in a statement. “The construction of new schools for our children is a milestone for Guam and I invite all our people to be a part of this process.”
There are currently four Guam Public School System schools being constructed: Liguan and Adacao Elementary Schools, Astumbo Middle School, and the new Ukudu High School. The schools are expected to be completed by 2008.
The funding for the schools will be paid for through a 20-year period using half of the island’s Compact-Impact funds from the federal government.
