Sharks down Knights in girls’ soccer

Girl’s Soccer:
Simon Sanchez Sharks def. St. John’s Knights 5 – 0.
Sharks improve to 2 – 0 behind the goals by Ginalyn Naburn, Franchesca Leon Guerrero, Jhovinlyn Gustillo, and Stephanie Lugo. Leon Guerrero would have two goals in the win.
Harvest Christian Academy Eagles def. John F. Kennedy Islanders.
The Eagles’ Koharu Minato would take a hat trick to hold off Charmaine Garcia and her two goals for the Islanders as the Eagles defeat the Islanders 5 – 3.
Notre Dame Royals def. Guam High Panthers.
The game was a high scoring one as the Royals’ led by Angelica Perez, Cera Taguacta and Erica Quichocho would all have two goals apiece in the 10 – 0 victory over the Panthers.
Academy of Our Lady of Guam Cougars ties Southern High Dolphins.
The Dolphins’ Chelsie Gofigan would score first in the 30th minute to put the Dolphins up 1 – 0. However would tie the game up off of a corner kick to end the game in a 1 – 1 draw.
Men’s Soccer:
Carpet Masters def. Big Blue Masters.
The Carpet Masters led by Kaito Shibuya and Jon Villatora would score two goals each in the 6 – 0 victory. Isaburo Kawasaki would get the shutout for the Carpet Masters. GFA Harmon field will be the host to the Division Two Budweiser Guam Men’s Soccer League Playoffs on Friday night with the third place Navy will face the sixth place Big Blue Masters at 7:00 pm, followed by the fourth place Crushers taking on the fifth place Carpet Masters at 9:00 pm.
