THE Superior Court says there is probable cause to believe that the three suspects arrested for robbing a poker arcade and for assaulting a security guard have committed the offense.
The suspects are Fernando Quitano, Joseph San Nicolas and Christopher Lee Muna and they were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, assault with dangerous weapon and criminal mischief.
The three appeared for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday morning before Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo.
He said after hearing the testimony of the witnesses, he found probable cause to believe that Quitano, San Nicolas and Muna committed the offense of assault with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.
The court, however, did not find probable cause that San Nicolas and Muna committed criminal mischief.
Govendo said there is probable cause that Quitano committed criminal mischief.
The defendants were ordered to return to court for arraignment on April 16 at 9 a.m.
The defendants were arrested on March 30 and 31 for robbing Smile Poker in Chalan Kanoa.
According to police, the defendants were masked and armed with a baseball bat, a knife and a wooden stick when they entered the poker arcade, assaulted the guard and robbed the establishment of over $5,000.
