ANOTHER property in Susupe
was vandalized over the weekend, according to Department of Public Safety
said.
DPS spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro said that Jian Nan Ma, 54, on April 7, at
10:45 p.m., reported to the police that his residence in Susupe had been
vandalized by unknown suspects.
The suspect or suspects used pink spray paint to paint the floor and wall
of the front porch.
The owner told police that it was not the first time that his property
had been vandalized.
The owner said his residence was first vandalized on April 5 and the suspect
or suspects sprayed black graffiti on the walls.
Both of the incidents were reported to the police.
DPS said vandalism is considered criminal mischief which has a maximum
penalty of six months imprisonment.
DPS is urging anyone having information about this or other crimes to
call Crime Stoppers at 234-7272.
DPS is now working closely with the Beautify CNMI! to address the problem.
They will spearhead a campaign called War on Graffiti next
month.
This may include designating a venue where the youth can express
their feelings through painting and other artistic activities.
