POLICE arrested two men for
stealing an aluminum sink and copper wire from a residence in Sadog Tasi
on Tuesday morning.
Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro identified the suspects
as Zong Guo Li, 44 and Wen Gui Li, 50.
Ogumoro said the two were brought to the Department of Corrections for
booking and detained.
DPS received a theft in progress report at a residence in Sadog Tasi on
Tuesday at 9:35 a.m., Ogumoro said.
DPS personnel were dispatched and according to the preliminary investigation,
complainant Jack Deleon Guerrero Torres saw the two suspects stealing
an aluminum sink, copper wire and other items from the home of a relative
in Sadog Tasi.
When the suspects realized that that they were being reported to the police,
one of them fled on foot while the other drove away with the stolen items.
But the complainant managed to come up with a description of the suspects,
the vehicle used and the plate number.
Police officers eventually located the vehicle in Tanapag and arrested
the driver.
The other suspect who fled on foot was also arrested after he was positively
identified by an eyewitness.
