(WIA) — The Workforce Investment Agency will once again offer a Summer Youth Employment and Training Program from June 24 to Aug. 4, 2007.
Applications will be accepted from April 16 to May 18, at the WIA Bldg. 1215, Capital Hill and at the WIA Rota and Tinian offices.
In preparation, and prior to job training placement in the private and public sectors, WIA requires all qualified and registered summer youth participants ages 14 to 21 to attend various workshops in customer service, telephone etiquette, work ethics, personal grooming, and basic financial literacy.
The workshops will be conducted on June 4-8 at American Memorial Park from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Applications will be made available at MHS, Southern and Kagman High Schools’ counselor’s offices and at the WIA office in Bldg. 1215, Capital Hill.
Rota and Tinian applicants may pick up and submit applications at the WIA Rota and Tinian offices.
