Ngerbeched created a triple-way
tie on top as it posted two wins within the week and bolstered its chances
for a playoff berth in the 2007 Palau Major League at the Asahi Field.
The 2004 runner-up Ngerbeched won over Ngaraard, 17-10, on Monday March
2 and Peches, 22-12, on Wednesday and joined Kayangel and Airai in a triple-way
tie of 12-5 win-loss record behind league-leading PCC Mesekiu (16-1).
On Tuesday night April 3, Ngardmau outplayed Koror, 18-5, and kept its
hopes alive for a playoff berth.
Although Ngardmau is currently in fifth place with an 9-8 card, it has
still a slim chance of making it to the Final Four hoping to win all its
four remaining games against Airai (March 9), Peches (March 13), PCC (March
14) and its rained out game last March 19 against Ngerbeched.
Also Ngardmau is hoping that one among Airai, Kayangel and Ngerbeched
will lost its reaming four games.
Last nights game was between Kayangel and Ngaraard while tonights
match will be between PCC and Airai while the two games tomorrow will
be between Ngerbeched and Koror and between Peches and Ngaraard.
