The Kagman Explosives and the Garapan Rollers are entered in the co-ed 12-and-under division.
The girls’ 16-and-under division will have the G-Rollers, Chacha Junior High School and the Kagman Explosive.
Battling for the boys’ 14-and-under division crown are the Kagman Explosives, the G-Rollers 1 and 2, the Sixers 1 and 2, Chacha and the Sonics.
The boys’ 16-and-under age group also has seven teams, namely, the G-Rollers 1 and 2, the As Lito Celtics, the Sixers, the Sonics, the G-Stars and the Kagman Explosives.
“We are hoping to start the league on Monday. If the lights are okay, we will hold the opening games on Monday,” NYBA developmental officer Joe Diaz said.
“If the lights are not fixed by Monday, we will open on April 20,”he added.
The 12-and-under and girls’ 16-and-under divisions will have a double-elimination format in the regular season, while the two other age groups will follow a single-elimination format.
Formats in the playoffs have yet to be discussed.
On Monday, three Kagman Explosives teams will be debuting. They will face the G-Rollers in the 12-and-under division at 5 p.m. The second match at 6 p.m. will also feature the Explosives against G-Rollers in the girls’ 14-and-under division. The G-Stars will take on the Explosives in the boys’ 16-and-under.
Games in the youth caging will be played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Makeup games are set for Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, coaches are requested to attend a final meeting this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
Diaz has also announced that they are still accepting sponsorships for the youth league.
