THREE masked men, one of them armed with a crowbar, entered a poker establishment in San Antonio and assaulted a customer after failing to gain access to the cashier’s booth.
The robbery happened on Wednesday morning at Niko Poker in San Antonio.
Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro said the incident was reported to the police at 5:14 a.m.
She said an investigation revealed that the three suspects tried to gain entry to the cashier’s booth but were unsuccessful.
One of the customers, Wally Brionas, 43, tried to run out but was stopped at the entrance of the arcade and hit several times in the back with a pipe.
His wallet, which was in his rear pocket, was taken by the suspects.
DPS said another customer also claimed that one of the suspects felt the pockets of her jacket but did not take anything from her.
The suspects fled immediately.
DPS said the establishment did not lose any money in the incident and no other person was reported injured.
