SHELL is increasing retail
fuel prices anew, citing a corresponding hike in oil prices in Singapore.
Ruben Domingo, president of Shell Guam, said Shell will increase its retail
price of premium unleaded, regular unleaded gasoline, and automotive diesel
oil effective today.
The costs of crude oil and finished products continue to climb steeply
and have now reached the point where we have to pass on some of the increase,
Domingo said in a statement.
The price at Shell stations for regular and premium unleaded gasoline,
as well as diesel, will increase by 8 cents a gallon.
With the price hike, Shells regular gasoline now costs $3.09 a gallon.
The new prices are posted at all Shell service stations.
The two other fuel companies on island, Mobil and South Pacific Petroleum,
have so far not yet announced increases but the fuel companies usually
match each others prices.
