A man arrested earlier this
week for burglarizing a home on Ifil Court in Liguan Terrace in Dededo
has a preliminary court hearing set for April 20 at 4 p.m. in Judge Steven
S. Unpingcos court room.
According to Variety sources, 31-year-old Paul Castro Aldan may be indicted
in the same court hearing.
Aldan is being held on a $25,000 cash bail and remains behind bars. His
arraignment hearing will be scheduled after the April 20 hearing.
According to a Superior Court magistrate complaint, the charges that are
listed in the complaint include possession of a schedule two controlled
substance, burglary, and theft.
A concerned citizen contacted police about a burglary in process
at his neighbors home.
When police arrived, they saw Aldan attempting to leave the residence
in a white Mazda pickup truck full of items. Police asked Aldan for identification
but he did not have one with him.
When asked about the items on the bed of the truck, the operator
stated that he had been asked by his cousin who had left the island to
retrieve her belongings, the complaint read.
Police investigated further and noticed that the home in question appeared
abandoned and the screen door was cut and the main door split open.
Police contacted the house sitter who verified that the items in the truck
belonged to the sitters in-laws.
Police found on Aldan a black wallet containing two plastic straws with
a white powdery substance. The substance was presumptive amphetamines
after GPD conducted a field test on it.
