GPD Enforcers defeat Guam Customs, 56-41

DPR-Gatorade GovGuam Basketball League would showcase three games on Wednesday night and in the second game the 7 – 1 Guam Police Department would defeat the Guam Customs team 56 – 41.
The Enforcers were led by Danny Cepeda who scored 13 points for the Guam Police Department in the win. Justin Guzman would put up 12 points in the Customs loss.
The loss drops the Guam Customs team to two and seven on the season. In the first game of the night the Guam National Guard beat the Department of Administration 73 – 50. The Guard was led by the scoring Oscar Espinosa who had the game high 20 points and Chris Iwashita who had 17 points in the win.
The Department of Administration was led by Shane Ngata who had 19 points and Pat Artero who had 14 points in the losing effort. The win moved the Guard to 6 – 2 and dropped the Administration team to 4 – 5 on the season.
In the final game of the night GPSS led by the 17 points of John Javellana defeated the Department of Corrections 52 – 34. Tim Blas would lead the Department of Corrections with 17 points. GPSS moves to 6 – 2 on the season and the Department of Corrections falls to 3 – 7.
Friday night will showcase three more games at the Guam Sports Complex Gym as GPSS takes on GNG at 6:30 pm, DPW-B takes on the Isa Aqua Defenders at 7:30 pm, and the Guam Fire Department squares off against the Department of Administration at 8:30.
