GTA to invest $4M for billing system upgrade

GTA has announced the selection of The Martin Group’s OMNIA™ and OASIS™ billing and customer service system products to replace GTA’s current computer systems, a press release said.
GTA will invest $4 million in 2007 to purchase the new platform which will allow GTA to better serve customers through enhanced customer services such as converged billing statements. The new systems will also allow GTA to deliver products and services to the market faster and more efficiently.
“Customer service was the key business driver when making the decision to replace our existing computer systems,” said Dan Moffat, president and chief executive officer of GTA. “GTA needs to continue to find ways to better serve the communications needs of Guam. Martin Group is a trusted and proven business partner in the communications industry.”

In the past two years, GTA has invested over $30 million in upgrading wireline, wireless and Internet services to bring the latest technologies to Guam. GTA’s networks on Guam are among the most advanced in the world. GTA has a secure, buried infrastructure that is designed to continue operations through Guam’s severe storms.
“The billing platform gives us more flexibility in pricing and offering bundling incentives or discounts to customers” added Tom Camacho, vice president for marketing and product management.
