It’s going to be a hot day in hell

HELL will get hotter now that the Board of Education publicly announced what it has planned to do. And that is, PSS plans to terminate 333 teacher aides and support staff to save $2.094 million. If there are 505 teachers, I don’t want to know how BOE Chairman Roman Benavente admitted that education, health and safety of the students and bus drivers are in this anticipated termination.
Oh well, the kids were picked up early in the morning and returned home quite late so it doesn’t make it any worse, yes? Next, the 90-day unpaid holiday, non-essential activities and contractual workers are being seriously reviewed. Shouldn’t this be a cold day in hell?
The banks, health and life insurance, hospital bills, food, clothes, books and pencils, gasoline and CUC, ai nalalao.
Canda said this dilemma was mostly from the past for not making sincere attempts to have a balanced budget after squandering taxpayers’ money. Then, the taxpayers were not fully informed and this is not known until now. Shocking!
The seriousness of our current money situation is beyond repair and we should not be pointing fingers at anyone. Instead, please, do it fairly like making cuts across the board, the Legislature and judiciary included. And please, don’t forget to include those exempted from the 10 percent cut. Say what Tan Candelaria?
Canda sarcastically said, Yeah right Gonzalo. Please Canda, don’t make me say snafu alright?
At this point in time, all intellectuals should have a sit-down to hammer this out and properly. These are the wishes of our taxpayers. What is good for the gander is good for the goose. Or find another way less painful OK? And you know Canda? I just learned another “French” word, fubar.
Esta bien amigos, esta luego. Adios.
