Suspect arrested on car mishap

The police has arrested on Monday at about 11:25 p.m., 21-year old Angel Muludy as suspect in the death of 18-year old Gelvon Gates on the early morning of April 8.
According to the press release from the Bureau of Public Safety, Muludy was arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving.
The statement said that Muludy is reported to have been driving the vehicle which flipped sideways on the main highway of Topside area.
Muludy, Gates and another passenger were aboard a white flatbed pickup truck coming from the direction of downtown Koror towards the Topside area with Gates reportedly in the passenger seat.
Initial investigation showed that the truck reportedly flipped sideways on the main highway at the Topside area and skidded approximately 34 feet, seven inches to stop in front of the Computer Tech. Building in Ngerkesoaol Hamlet.
The statement said that Gates was immediately transported in the Emergency Room via ambulance where he was pronounced dead upon arrival shortly after.
The male individual, who was riding in the back of the truck, identified as Mays Masayos sustained injuries.
The police is still investigating the case.
