St. Anthony’s School burglarized

By Trina A. San Agustin
Variety News Staff

THE Guam Police Department is looking for the individual(s) responsible for breaking into the St. Anthony’s School kitchen in Tamuning earlier this week.
GPD public information officer Allan Guzman said it was St. Anthony’s School — and not St. John’s as reported yesterday—that was burglarized.
Guzman said the culprit(s) broke into the room and took petty cash.
Search continues
Police also continue their search for the suspect in a robbery in Tamuning on Monday night.
The suspect is described as being heavy-set, tall, and has a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt. He was last seen in a white vehicle.
Guzman said the suspect grabbed the purse of a woman entering her apartment complex in Tamuning with her nine-year-old child at around 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
Sobriety checkpoints
GPD’s Highway Patrol Division encourages motorists who plan on drinking to designate a sober driver or they will be arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
The checkpoints will begin at 8 p.m. tonight through the early morning hours of Friday.
There will also be checkpoints from 8 p.m. Friday through the early morning hours of Saturday.
GPD Highway Patrol Division officers will be in full force on Route 1 Marine Corps Drive and Route 14 Pale San Vitores Road in Tumon.
Guzman advised motorists to designate a sober driver.
