The Earthrace boat is expected
to arrive in April 22 in Palau.
The Earthrace boat is an 80-fppt trimaran that is attempting to break
the record for circumnavigation of the globe by a powerboat.
A letter from John Allen operations manager of Earthrace said that the
boat runs purely on Biodiesel which is sourced from vegetable oil.
Allen said that the project is aimed at promoting renewable fuel.
He added that the boat started its world record attempt last March 10
in Barbados and going to San Diego, California , then Hawaii.
After Hawaii it will go to the Marshall Islands and is expected to arrive
in Koror on April 22.
"We would appreciate the support and assistance of the Palau government
to make our stop in Koror as efficient and smooth as possible," Allen
said.
H added that while the boat is in Palau two cameramen present because
they were filming for the Discovery Channel.
Allen also invited President Remengesau to attend the refueling and to
meet the skipper and the crew and to come aboard for a personal tour of
the boat.
