Tourism Month activities

(MVA) — The Marianas Visitors Authority has several activities planned for May — which is Tourism Month.
This year’s theme is “Tourism is Everybody’s Business.”
Awareness of the importance of tourism in the CNMI is an important element of this year’s event.
Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival & Beer Garden will be held at American Memorial Park from 6 to 10 p.m. every Saturday night beginning on May 5 and ending on May 26. The event will feature local and international cuisine sold by participating hotel and local restaurant outlets. Visitors to the festival can also experience local and international performers jam the night away.
The Ayuda Fun Run will take place on Saipan on May 5, and on Tinian on May 26. All proceeds for the event will be donated to a non-profit organization from each island.
MVA members are encouraged to sponsor their own employees. The run starts at 6 a.m. You may pre-register for $10 at the MVA office prior to the event or pay a $15 registration fee on day of the event.
Wear Red Day will take place every Friday in May.
Everyone in the community, especially our tourism industry partners, are asked to show their support of the CNMI’s most viable industry by wearing red every Friday.
“Once again we are looking forward to an exciting Tourism Month” said MVA Managing Director Perry Tenorio. “These events bring both the tourists and locals together while we showcase the uniqueness of the Northern Mariana Islands.”
