THE U.S. Marshals in Guam and members of local police arrested a man who is wanted in California for sexual assault of a child under the age of 14.
Department of Corrections director Robert Camacho told Variety that as of 5 p.m. yesterday, they were still waiting for arresting officers to bring David Erik Olson to the Hagatna detention facility for his temporary confinement.
A bounty hunter reportedly monitored the 41-year-old fugitive who has been hiding in Guam since he was charged with criminal sexual conduct for sexually molesting a minor in Oroville, California.
He was reportedly apprehended in Hagatna and will be a subject of an extradition hearing prior to his transfer to the U.S. mainland.
