Sailor in vehicular homicide gets new court dates

THE USS Frank Cable sailor arrested and charged in January in connection with the death of a bicyclist, Raymond Oberiano, has new court dates after he pleaded not guilty to the superseding indictment filed against him last week.
Kevin Michael Jackson Jr. was in the courtroom of Judge Alberto Lamorena Wednesday afternoon to answer the new charges filed against him through a grand jury indictment.
He pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, vehicular homicide, negligent homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol with injuries, and several counts of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Judge Lamorena set a motion hearing for May 2 at 2 p.m., a pre-trial conference on May 7 at 3:30 p.m., and jury selection and trial on May 14 at 10 a.m.
