A member of the outgoing Air
Force Civic Action Team received a certificate of appreciation from President
Remengesau for providing free medical treatment in Palau for the past
six months.
Remengesau during the change of command ceremony last Friday, April 13,
gave special commendation to Capt. Christopher Dadivas for accomplishing
many firsts as part of the Air Force team.
The president said Dadivas was the first CAT team medic to visit all 16
states in Palau and performed 72 Medical Civic Action Program and saw
3,125 patients.
"Although all the CAT team members deserve to be honored for their
commitment, Dadivas has performed above and beyond the call of duty,"
Remengesau said.
At the same time, four Air Force team member received Pacific Civil Engineering
Commander Coin from Air Force Col. Robert Fant for performing an excellent
job while in Palau.

The special award was given to the four members of the team as recommended
by Capt. Ryan Walinski, office-in-charge of the Air Force team who was
recently replaced by Navy CAT 04-29.
