The Kings limited the Smuuch to only four points in the extra period while scoring 13 points there for the victory that gave them the first ticket to the championship game against the winner in the other playoff match between Koror Elementary School Team A Stars and Meyuns Elem. School.
The KES A-MES match was still in progress as of presstime.
The championship game will be played tomorrow. But before that, the consolation game is set today starting at 3 p.m.
GBH B’s Tebedel put the game into overtime, 55-all, with a three-point shot, his third of the game but his team collapsed totally in the overtime period,
Tebedel had 26 points in the game, including all four points for GBH in overtime.
Rekoi led the Kings with 13 points, including six in overtime.
It was the Kings’ sixth win in as many outings after sweeping the round-robin phase of the six-team field tournament.
The Kings are making their first appearance in this league, sponsored by Senator Santy Asanuma and the Substance Abuse Program.
