AGENTS of the Guam Police
Departments Criminal Investigation Section continue to investigate
last Thursdays discovery of stolen items after the execution of
a search warrant at a home off of Route 28 in Astumbo, Dededo.
GPD public information officer Allan Guzman said further arrests in this
case are pending.
Police advise those involved with this case to turn themselves in at the
Tamuning/Tumon Precinct Office or the Criminal Investigation Division
in Tiyan.
The stolen items, including a gavel and split air-conditioning units,
were discovered after four days of police investigation and the help of
a confidential source of information.
The source led police to the Astumbo home, where Raymond I. Duenas, 33,
and Lourdes Castro Duenas, 40, were residing.
The two face charges of possession of a schedule two controlled substance
as a third-degree felony, theft by receiving stolen property as a second-degree
felony, and theft by receiving stolen property as a third-degree felony.
The Duenas couple is being held on a $100,000 cash bail each.
Police continue their work at logging and tagging all the items found
at the Dededo home Thursday morning. Included in the items were guns,
marijuana, and methamphetamine hydrochloride or ice.
As soon as police finish their work of documenting all the items, they
will put out a public announcement for residents who are victims of recent
burglaries to view the items to get back what is rightfully theirs.
Those who wish to view the items are asked to bring their police report
numbers, and anything else that may prove the item belongs to them, such
as a photograph.
As of press time, GPD did not have a set date on when residents will be
able to view the stolen items.
