THE Guam Police
Departments Criminal Investigation Section is looking for a man
wanted in connection with multiple burglaries on Guam.
Police consider Franklin Bamba Atoigue, 36, armed and dangerous.
CIS agent officer F. Ishizaki described Atoigue as 5-feet-7-inches to
5-feet-8-inches tall, weighing over 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black
hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue shorts. He did
not have any footwear.
Atoigue was last seen at 3 p.m. Monday on Route 3 across from Astumbo
Gardens when he ran into a jungle area to escape Superior Court marshals
who were at his residence to deliver a bench warrant for his arrest, according
to CIS officer agent A. Mashburn.
Mashburn told Variety that GPD activated their SWAT on Monday to look
for Atoigue, but were unsuccessful. A witness told police that Atoigue
was carrying a weapon; however, the type of weapon was not known.
Police declined to comment on whether Atoigue is connected to last Thursdays
raid on a home in Astumbo, Dededo which netted police various stolen items
and drugs.
Police advise the public not to approach Atoigue if they spot him but
to call police immediately.
If you have any information about where Atogiue can be found, call CIS
at 475-8557 or Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP (4357). Crime Stoppers
does not use caller ID and you do not have to leave your name.
