Manacop after a slow start scoring 187 pinfalls had a 219 and 229 in Games 2 and 3, respectively, for an 18-point lead against Barja, going into the last game.
Barja took the lead and the monthly honors from Manacop when the former knocked down 201 pins in Game 4. Manacop had his lowest output in Game 4 last Monday with 180 pinfalls. Cacdac, who had 596 pinfalls after three games, had the second best score in Game 4 with 221, but fell short of claiming the top spot.
Barja had a 156.25 average in four games last Monday, while Cacdac and Manacop posted an identical average of 154.50.
Twenty-two bowlers competed for the King of the Lanes title.
Fourteen keglers tried to steal the Queen of the Lanes tiara from Williams, but failed.
Williams bowled last Sunday and had 720 pinfalls.
Her closest rival was Hye Seo II, who knocked down 706 pins last Monday. Gigi Zapanta, who placed second after last Sunday’s match with 666 pinfalls, dropped to fifth, as Lala Taitano (685) and Jerrie Vales (679) bowled last Monday and finished third and fourth, respectively.
Elena Soll, who was in third place last Sunday with 642 pinfalls, played again last Monday but scored only 634 for ninth place.
Participants in the Saipan Bowling Association’s monthly roll-offs are allowed to bowl for two days, but only the highest score is counted.
